Our focused Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives empower communities through education and sustainable livelihood programs, promoting long-term development and well-being.
In recent years, we have made significant progress in civil development, including establishing an ‘A Grade’ public school, renovating government institutions, constructing roads, and creating vital community facilities.
Our community investment programs are designed to address the needs of marginalized groups, with a special focus on education, women, children, and tribal communities. Over the past decade, our CSR initiatives have positively impacted several hundred thousand lives in over 50 villages across India

SAFAL Program
Rice is our main staple food here in Anuppur district of MP. I used to grow paddy traditionally and would get little production. I had heard that CSR team of the Power Plant near my village was training farmers in Paddy farming and also providing improved seed, Vermi bed etc. I also got same help from them and harvested paddy to the tune of 17.68 Q/acre. I had applied Vermi-compost also and no other fertiliser. I am happy to see the production that too without application of chemicals.

I used to cultivate vegetable on my small piece of land that was not giving sufficient income to me to support my family. I was approached by CSR team of Hindustan Power and they asked me to try Multilayer Vegetable Farming. I was startled to see the production of 5-6 vegetable crops in one piece of land that produced vegetables in significant amount in single season. I earned in excess of INR 37370/-. I will increase the area of Multilayer Vegetable farming from next time to increase the income.

My eye sight was weak and I would face difficulties in working. A doctor team from Hindustan Power CSR came to my house and screened me for Eye camp organised by CSR. In the camp they treated me, gave medicines and spectacles also for free. Now I don’t face any eye related problem anymore. Whenever I have any health issue I got the CSR OPD service in my village.

I have been a Sugar patient for a long time and have visited even to Jabalpur for treatment by private doctors. It had been very costly for me and I was also not getting cured. A team of Doctor from Hindustan Power CSR come to our village on regular basis. I got examined by the doctor and also got medication for free and I feel better now a days.

Currently I am studying in Class X. Apart from “Support Class: Initiative and “Youth development” Initiative of Hindustan Power CSR that I got benefitted from, I recently completed BASIC course in Digital Learning Program in 2022. I did not know any think in computer and after completing the course I help my father in their online work that gives me great happiness.
