Brief
TALEEM has managed to provide support classes for primary & middle level students upgrading the learning levels of the school going children. Our intervention with the Secondary level drop outs has been successful in mainstreaming and giving them another chance to continue their education. Digital Learning Program (DLP) aims at cutting down the widening gap in digital literacy by making it accessible to the underserved. Taking an innovative approach towards topics of Mathematics and Science, Mini Science Centres (MSCs) on the concept of STEM has been established in partnership with government schools. Capacities are built through vocational trainings which empower women and help generate additional incomes for the families.

HPPPL CSR team organized BEST ACADEMIC PERFORMER AWARD Competition
- Where CSR’s Support Class initiative was being implemented
With the consent of District Program Coordinator (DPC)-Education Anuppur the team organized the competition by involving all 11 government schools (Primary-7 and Middle-4) in 6 villages. The purpose of doing the activity was to know the average enhanced learning of Support Class students in comparison to Non-Support Class students and felicitate the best performing students from each school. Total 570 students from 602 enrolled appeared for the competition. The questions were set with the participation of respective government school teachers and they also put forth their support in conducting the competition fairly in their respective schools. The results were very encouraging for the CSR team as shown in the chart below. The questions were set with total 30 marks (10 each from Hindi, English and Math for Primary and Science, English and Math for Middle level)
At the felicitation event, all toppers from respective schools were present with their school teachers, parents and were felicitated by DPC-Education (Mr. Hemant Khairwar), Block Resource Coordinator (Mr. D.R. Bhandhav) from the district education department. Ms. Laxmi Puri (Support Class students, class-8) from Khunta Tola secured 100 % marks and were felicitated by DPC who was profuse in appreciating the Support Class intervention and highlighted the positive changes brought by HPPPL through CSR in the area. He stressed the need of Support Class like intervention and effort in remaining schools. Mr. Bhandhav also praised the intervention and said he would be continuing his full support to the intervention in whatever manner in order to improve the child education in the area.
